Important update on Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Management in Primary Care

We are aware that many of you will have seen the recent news about Mounjaro being used for weight management and you may be wondering if it available through our practice.

At the moment Mounjaro is being rolled out gradually across England and our area has not yet been included. We have been advised by our local Integrated Care Board (ICB) not to prescribe Mounjaro for Obesity at this time.

Please do not book an appointment specifically to request Mounjaro, as we are currently unable to offer it and this would be a wasted appointment.
