It is essential to obtain the correct advice about immunisations, malaria prevention, and staying healthy before travelling overseas. Our nurses are trained to provide such advice. They will need to discuss your travel arrangements including which countries and areas within countries you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
NHS information about staying healthy when travelling to different countries and vaccinations recommended can be found on the link below https://travelhealthpro.org.uk. We would suggest having a look at this information before your appointment.
Try to see the nurse at least eight weeks before your trip so that any vaccinations required may be correctly spaced and given in the correct sequence. Some vaccines may have to be specially ordered so may require more than eight weeks planning.
We will ask you to complete a travel questionnaire before your appointment; this will help us to work out what vaccinations you will need. Forms can be obtained from reception or downloaded via the link below. These will need to be returned to reception. We do not accept return of the forms by email at this time.
