Doctors in Training and Medical Students

The practice has been approved for the training of doctors in general practice. Dr Roberts usually has a registrar working with him. These doctors are fully qualified and in the final stage of training before entering a practice of their own. You may be asked permission for your consultations with the doctor to be video-taped for training purposes. At various times during the year for two week periods, a medical student from Hull or York University sits in on consultations and accompanies the doctors on their visits to patients. Currently Dr Gardner and Dr Freer are working with medical students from Hull and York University.

It is recognised that patients may prefer not to be seen by a registrar or medical student. If this is the case please indicate your wishes to a member of the reception staff. If, however, you are prepared to allow the medical student or registrar to see you, this will be much appreciated.
